18 months old!
We have an 18 month old boy under our roof and a 20 week old baby in my belly! Who would have thunk it!!! It makes me sad to look at all Parker's baby pictures and know he will never be that small or helpless again. But it is exciting to know that we get to do this all over again with a new baby in August! Parker went to the ultra sound with us on Friday and liked watching his baby on the TV.
Parker lifts my shirt and gives the baby (belly) a kiss when we ask him where the baby is. He loved looking at Baby Luke at Easter, we think he will be a natural big brother.
Right now we are working on singing our "ABC's". He loves "Itsy-Bitsy Spider" and does the motions with it...Parker will ask us to sing this one over and over agin. He has also started loving "Open Shut Them". Parker turns his night-light on for bed time and will complete most tasks that are asked of him (even putting his dirty clothes in the laundry basket...unlike Daddy)!
He no longer lets us read books to him at nap time and bed time. Parker is a BIG boy and wants to "read" the book to himself without our help. Pretty much everything is without help any more and Parker gets very frustrated when he can not do something that he so desperately wants to do.
We are working on the word gentle and saying/signing sorry. Parker is in a hair pulling stage and pulls someones hair almost everyday when we get together with groups of our friends. If we do not stop this soon I think our cat, Lou, will!!!
He absolutely loves peanut butter, chocolate, ice cream, yogurt, cookies (of any sort), pasta, pizza, bagels with cream cheese, scrambled eggs, dipping foods, cantaloupe, raisins, skyline, his Daddy coming home from work, and his Mommy getting him out of bed in the morning.
He loves Elmo, but does not watch much TV. He actually turns it off whenever it is on. He learned who Elmo is through books and the few days he was sick, when we watched Sesame Street!
His two Pa-Pa's are his favorite people in the world...he lights up when he sees them!!!
